About LYN
"Love Your Neighbor" began as a one day event to serve the community of Claremore through acts of service, like assisting our senior citizens with home repair and improving our public parks. Our goal was to improve our community and build relationships by loving our neighbors. Today, we want to encourage our leaders, churches, and businesses to build a great community through serving one another and develop loving, caring relationships.
LYN Day '21
We will continue to come together each year as a community for one amazing day of service. In 2019, over 500 volunteers made a huge impact with our neighbors. While 2020 made this more difficult, we were still able to serve those in need in creative ways. We are making huge plans to have a major impact in 2021! Mark your calendar and prepare to serve, lead, connect and grow with our fellow neighbors on July 10th, 2021
CARE Portal
All of our neighbors needs cannot be met in one day. Fortunately, we have plenty of love and resources year round to help meet the needs of the elderly, disabled, widows, and those that just need a hand for whatever reason. A great tool to connect those in need with the resources we have is the Care Portal. We encourage your church, small group, or business to actively engage with the Care Portal so we can quickly respond when the needs arise.
Get Involved
One of the mysteries of life is that when we help others, we are also helping ourselves. Not only are we helping meet basic needs of others, but we also find a great joy and deeper appreciation and contentment in our own lives. We are created to help one another.
There are so many ways to help. We do one big day of service each year, but weekly our community has needs. You may intend to serve for a day, but we think it may become a lifestyle.
